Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Shhapps Ltd. Liability Co. (“we”, “our” or “us”) makes DayBoost, a daily planner and to do list app for iPhone and Android (the “App”). This policy explains what information the App handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.

In short: DayBoosthas no accounts. Your tasks, notes and plans stay on your phone and are never uploaded to us. We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the App, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Advanced. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps.

1. Information stored on your device

Everything you create in the App is stored only on your device:

  • tasks, subtasks, notes, times, repeating routines, icons and colors;
  • your answers during onboarding, including the name you choose to be called;
  • your settings, such as language, theme, sounds and reminder preferences.

We have no copy of this information and cannot see it. It stays on your device until you delete it, use Reset app in Settings → Advanced, or delete the App. If you use Export data in the App, a file is created and saved or shared wherever you choose; we never receive it.

Reminders are scheduled locally by your device's operating system. We do not run a notification server and do not receive the content of your reminders.

2. Anonymous analytics and session replay

To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, the App sends anonymous usage data to PostHog, our analytics provider. This includes:

  • Events such as opening the App, moving through onboarding, the multiple-choice answers you pick there (for example your main goal), creating a task, starting a focus session, and viewing or completing a purchase, with basic details such as the plan chosen;
  • Device information such as device model, operating system and version, App version, language and a random identifier created by the App;
  • Session replay:recordings of how the App's screens are used, so we can see where people get stuck. Anything you type into text fields is masked and not recorded. Other content shown on screen at the time, such as task titles on your timeline, may appear in a recording.

This data is not linked to your name, email or any account, and we do not use it for advertising. The name you enter during onboarding is never sent.

Your choice: turn off Share anonymous usage data in Settings → Advanced and the App stops sending analytics events and session recordings.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

DayBoost Pro is sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details or billing address.

We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription and unlock Pro. RevenueCat receives purchase information from the store (such as the product, the purchase and expiry dates, and the store's transaction identifiers) together with an anonymous identifier created by the App. It does not receive your tasks.

4. Service providers

  • PostHog, Inc.: product analytics and session replay (section 2).
  • RevenueCat, Inc.: subscription status (section 3).
  • Apple and Google: App distribution, payments, and delivery of your device's local notifications. Their own privacy policies apply to your use of their stores and operating systems.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices, and may store it in the United States or other countries. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How long we keep data

Data on your device stays until you delete it or the App. Anonymous analytics and session recordings are kept only as long as needed to improve the App, and are then deleted according to our analytics provider's retention settings. Subscription records are kept as long as needed to provide Pro and to meet legal and accounting requirements.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because the App has no accounts and analytics are anonymous, we usually cannot link analytics data to you, but we will help where we can. The information on your device is fully under your control: you can export it or erase it in the App at any time.

Where the GDPR applies, we process anonymous analytics based on our legitimate interest in improving the App (and you can object by turning analytics off), and subscription data to perform our contract with you.

To make a request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

Your tasks never leave your device, so they are protected by your device's own security, such as its passcode and encryption. Data sent to our providers is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we handle.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell you in the App or on this website.
